Ordering Instructions

ESA’s Product Stocking Policy:

Effective May 15th, 2002, ESA will only sell books and items that we have produced ourselves, phasing out the "drop ship" sales that we have provided for several years. We will continue to sell merchandise and other books that are in our warehouse until supplies are depleted. After that point, we will only sell the following items: ESA Pest Handbooks, Thomas Say Publications, Back issues of the journals and American Entomologist, Arthropod Management Tests, and any other books that ESA has produced in the past, such as the Miscellaneous Publications, if they remain available.

Prices for all items include shipping and handling within the Continental United States (CONUS). For orders to be shipped outside of CONUS, please either: (a) contact ESA prior to placing your order to determine accurate shipping prices, or (b) check the box on the order form that authorizes ESA to determine shipping costs and add them to your order and credit card. The shipping charges that are included in each item # will be deducted from the total shipping price for non-CONUS orders. If you are using the online order form, your order will be automatically charged the appropriate amount for shipping and handling. The fee is generally (but not always) $10 to $15 for Canadian and Mexican orders and $20 to $25 for other non-US countries.

New Orders:

Please use the order form from the printed catalog, or the online order shopping cart. Please include your e-mail address on the order form. If you did not receive confirmation, please assume that your order was not received. Send new orders to the ESA Sales Office, 10001 Derekwood Lane, Suite 100, Lanham, MD 20706-4876; fax to (301) 731-4538; or e-mail to sales@entsoc.org. ESA offices are open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Include your account number if you have one.

Existing Orders:

If you have already submitted an order to ESA and it has not been received yet ...

  1. When did you order? All U.S. orders should be received no later than 6 weeks from order date. Overseas orders should be received no later than 3 months from order date.
  2. Order Number? To greatly facilitate the order-tracking process, please include your order number, which should be with your order confirmation.
  3. Further information If your order has been confirmed but has not arrived within the specified time, please call the ESA Sales Office with your order number and we will locate your order.

Refunds/Returns:

Refunds are automatically issued for items that are no longer available. Please allow two weeks for your refund. If items are temporarily out of stock, your order will be "backordered" and will ship as soon as the items are in stock. If you do not want your order backordered, you may request a refund. All requests for refunds must be made in writing to ESA at the above address. If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, you may return it (in undamaged condition) within 14 days of receipt and incur no penalties. If materials are still in their original packaging and in perfect condition, all other orders may be returned to ESA up to 3 months from purchase for a refund, less a 15% restocking fee. After 3 months, all returns in perfect condition will receive credits, less the 15% restocking fee.

Damaged Items:

All claims for damaged goods must be received within 15 days of order receipt. ESA will replace or exchange any damaged items that are still available through our current catalog. A written explanation including invoice number MUST accompany all returned items. Replacement is at the discretion of ESA.

Claims

Claims cannot be honored without an invoice number. All claims must be in writing to the above address. All prepaid orders must include a copy of the original order, a copy of both sides of your canceled check, or if payment was made by credit card, the exact date and amount of the charge must be provided. Claims cannot be processed without this information. There will be a maximum of one claim per item per order. Please click here for more information and our full claims policy.

Continental U.S. Order claims:
Allow 6 weeks for orders to be received. No claims will be processed prior to 6 weeks from date of invoice. Requests for replacements may not be honored if received later than 12 weeks after order date.

Non-Continental U.S. Order claims:
Allow 3 months for orders to be received. No claims will be processed prior to 3 months from date of invoice. An attempt will be made to honor claims for nonreceipt of items if the claim is made within the prescribed period, however, replacement is a courtesy and at the discretion of ESA.
