Year 2010

The 9th European Congress of Entomology will be held August 22-27, 2010 in Budapest, Hungary.

A Joint Meeting Between the Royal Entomological Society and the Soil Ecology Society will be held September 7-9, 2010 at the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom. Contact: SEE2010@blackshaws.org.

The 2010 BedBug University North American Summit will be held September 21-22, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. Contact Robert DiJoseph at robert.dijoseph@bedbugcentral.com.

Biological Control in Support of Nature will be held in Northampton Massachusetts, October 3-7 2010. This meeting will explore the benefits of classical biological control for the control of invasive insects and weeds in natural forests, wetlands, grasslands, deserts, and islands. The meeting will appeal to biological control scientists, conservationists, invasion biologists, and land managers.

Principles and Procedures for Rearing Quality Insects, a five-day workshop, will be held October 10-15, 2010. All seats are full, but to get on to the waiting list, contact Barbara Perrigin at 662-325-2086 or bep2@msstate.edu.

The Potential Invasive Pests Workshop will be held October 10-14 , 2010 in Miami (Coconut Grove),Florida, USA. For information contact,  Beth Miller Tiphton (bmt@ufl.edu).

Parasite to Prevention: Advances in the Understanding of Malaria will be held October 20-22, 2010 in Edinburgh, UK. Deadline for submission of abstracts is July 2, 2010.

PestWorld 2010 will be held October 20-23, 2010 at the Hawai'i Convention Center with hotel rooms at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort & Spa.

WEBS 2010 will be held October 24-27, 2010 outside of Seattle, Washington. WEBS is an annual three-day symposium aimed at addressing the retention of female scientists and issues related to the transition of women from early career stages to tenure track positions and leadership roles in academic and research settings.

The 56th Annual Meeting of the Northeastern Mosquito Control Association will hold its on December 6-8, 2010, at the Resort and Conference Center in Hyannis, MA (Cape Cod).

The ESA North Central Branch Meeting will be held March 13-16, 2011 at the Radisson University Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The 95th Annual Meeting of the ESA Pacific Branch will be held March 27-30, 2011 in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The theme will be "Invasive Species of the Pacific Region."
