Procedures for Election Nominations:
Summer 2008 Elections
Nominations for ESA leadership positions in 2009, which will
appear on the summer 2008 national ballot in July, should be submitted to
Membership and Constituent Relations Program Manager André Owens at
aowens@entsoc.org
by May 15. Nominations received after May 15 will not appear on the
election ballot this year. Each nomination package must include the following:

Biographical sketch of no more than 250 words to include the
nominee's name, education, employment, area(s) of interest and accomplishments
in entomology, and leadership roles (including record of service to ESA). Each
nomination should be sent as a single, PC-compatible electronic file, such as
MS Word or Adobe PDF.

In addition to the requirements above, nominations for Vice
President-Elect must also include a statement of the nominee's perception of
critical issues and future vision for the Society (no more than 250 words).
This word limit includes endorsements by Branches and Sections.

A black and white or color photo print of any size. The scanned
photo should be of high quality in the TIF or JPG format sized at 3" wide
with an image resolution of 300 pixels per inch. Attach the photo as a separate
file.
Those candidates who win this year's election
will assume their duties at the close of this year's final business meeting to
be held on Nobember 19, 2008, in Reno, Nevada.

Biodiversity Section
