Presidential Committees
Presidential committees may be appointed as needed by
the president to serve during his/her term. For example, such committees may
study a particular topic or develop a recommended course of action. Some
presidential committees are ongoing, while others are active for one to a few
years.

Ongoing committees are noted as such. Other presidential committees shown below
are those that have been active through the previous two years.
Presidential Committee on the Insect Calendar
This committee is charged with determining the most appropriate process
for the selection of images for future ESA insect calendars.

Linnaean Games Committee (Ongoing)
This committee is charged with planning and running the Linnaean Games at the
ESA Annual Meeting each year, with consistent rules and procedures and fair and
interesting questions.

Presidential Committee on Archives
This committee is assessing the status of ESA archives and developing
recommendations to establish structure and process to maintain these
extremely important historical documents.

Presidential Committee on ESA Publications (Ongoing)
This committee will build a plan to continue and extend the success of ESA
publications.

PC on ESA Support of Students and Young Professionals
This committee will help the Governing Board begin a new era of support and
encouragement for students and young professionals who choose to join the ESA.

Resolutions Committee (Ongoing)
This committee collects and evaluates resolutions submitted by members of the
Society during the ESA Annual Meeting. The president appoints three committee
members with one serving as chair. The chair presents the resolutions for vote
by the membership during the closing session/final business meeting. For more
