With the approval of new ESA Bylaws in 2007, this Section ceased to exist at the end of that year.

Because agronomic and horticultural systems, economic circumstances, and pest diversity continue to change, management strategies are constructed from an array of tactics. These tactics are based on input from all sub descriptions of entomology. Section F served to consolidate that information. Crop protection endeavors to develop conventional and pioneering approaches in definition of crop pests and their interaction with hosts; study and clarification of pest biology and behavior, development and selection of suitable pest management strategies or tactics and delivery of information by means of literature and other communication media.
