ESA Annual Meetings

The Annual Meeting of the Entomological Society of America is its premier event each year. For a four-day period, thousands of entomologists and professionals from related disciplines gather from around the world to exchange scientific information and the latest research, enhance their professional knowledge and skills, network with colleagues and re-acquaint with old friends, present the Society's awards, and conduct the business of the Society.

The Annual Meeting offers a wide variety of symposia, ten-minute papers, and poster presentations covering all aspects of the science. Typically, between 1,800 and 2,600 presentations are given annually!   The Meeting includes exciting networking events and fun competitions--as well as special plenary sessions and the annual Society awards. Students compete in the President’s Prize and in the ever popular Linnaean Games. A Career Center offers the opportunity for job vacancies and resumes to be shared at no charge. And an exhibition features entomological equipment, supplies, and reference materials, as well as the opportunity to purchase gifts for friends and family.

The Entomological Foundation, the Entomological Collections Network, and several other related societies (i.e. Coleopterists’ Society) host their meetings during ESA's Annual Meeting, allowing for networking across many interests.

Plan on attending the next ESA Annual Meeting! It’s educational, rewarding, and entertaining.
