In 2004, ESA obtained a National Science Foundation (NSF) travel
grant for junior scientists to attend the XXII International Congress of
Entomology (ICE) held in Brisbane, Australia, in 2004. Defined as graduate
students, postdoctoral researchers, or assistant professors (less than three
years in rank), 21 junior scientists received up to $2,300 each for meeting
registration and travel expenses to ICE 2004.
