Milton Levine, who created Uncle Milton’s Ant Farm more than 50 years ago, passed away recently at the age of 97. More than 20 million of his ant-farm toys were sold. The multimillion-dollar company Levine co-founded became known for educational and scientific toys that include frog and butterfly habitats, planetariums and mini-greenhouses.
The toy was used as the subject of one of the first webcams on the Internet (Dec. 1994), http://www.stevesantfarm.com, which is the longest continuously running cam using a QuickCam, and is the original antcam.
