Lanham, MD; June 1, 2009 – ESA will begin accepting entries for the YouTube Your Entomology video contest beginning on June 22, 2009, and ending on October 15, 2009.
This unique, new contest will give ESA members the opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity through video.
As previously announced by President Marlin Rice, members may submit entries of no more than two minutes in four different categories:

Lanham, MD; May 4, 2009 – A poll conducted by the BioMedical & Life Sciences Division (DBIO) of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) to identify the 100 most influential journals of biology and medicine over the last 100 years listed Annals of the Entomological Society of America among them. In the poll, 686 DBIO members participated, choosing Annals as the overwhelming winner of the “Journals of Land Invertebrates” category.
Lanham, MD; April 27, 2009 – Each year, the Entomological Society of America (ESA) features the Linnaean Games at its Annual Meeting. The Games are a lively question-and-answer, college bowl-style competition on insect facts played between university-sponsored student teams. It is an important and entertaining component of the ESA Annual Meeting.

Lanham, MD; October 20, 2008 – An estimated 2,500 entomologists and professionals in related disciplines from around the world will gather November 16-19 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada to exchange scientific information at the Annual Meeting of the Entomological Society of America (ESA).
