Entomology 2013:
Science Impacting a Connected World

President Wiedenmann’s 2013 theme, “Science Impacting a Connected World”, highlights his vision to increase the impact of the science and ESA through public policy, develop new leaders for ESA, and strengthen connections and develop new partnerships within the membership and from around the world―all to maintain entomology as a robust science.  His overarching goal is to build on the momentum ESA currently has, support investment in ESA’s members and future, and help sustain a dynamic, engaged society.

This year’s Annual Meeting symposia will highlight all aspects of the entomological sciences and show how ESA is connected internally with members, and externally with partner organizations and agencies around the world. We encourage our students and young professionals to take an active leadership role in our society, in organizing symposia, and in presenting their research through oral and poster presentations.
