My research focused on the seasonal abundance and diversity of treehoppers on scrub oak in the Pocono till barrens. The research took place over a 2 year time period and along with my advisor all treehoppers where identified to genus and species. I also worked on updating and organizing the East Stroudsburg University insect collection, and was employed as a lab technician.
I worked in the Wildlife Lab on a project that involved extracting DNA from maggots to analyze what they had been feeding on prior to being sent to lab for study. Since graduating in 2008 I have worked in the vaccine production industry and am hoping to transition to a career in entomology. I have been the entomological consultant for the past 2 years on site.
