I am interested in public health and entomology. My undergraduate degree is in environmental health science, which led to a master’s in entomology at the University of Georgia. While as an undergrad, I completed a survey of kissing bugs on the barrier islands off the coast of Georgia. I have also completed work looking at the extraction rate of house dust mites from various materials and an identification guide for common species of house dust mites. In addition to my research, I have also taught 2 medical entomology laboratory classes as a TA. I have experience in field research, experimental design, arthropod identification, DNA extraction, and PCR. I graduated in August 2012, and I am willing to relocate. Thank you for your consideration.
