I am a PhD level reasearcher with 10 years teaching and research experience in Entomology. I am presently seeking a postdoctoral position in the field of research, specially on insect taxonomy. My current research involves phylogenetics and species identification using mitochondrial DNA sequences.

As a doctoral student, I revised infraorder Fulgoromorpha (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha) except Delphacidae.  A total of 102 species belonging to 53 genera were arranged in the revisionary work, of which 9 genera and 21 species are recorded for the first time in Korea, and 23 species are new to science with 4 new combinations. A molecular analysis using ribosomal internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2) and cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) gene was evaluated for identifying sexually dimorphic species and its congener in Korea.

I hope I will be able to contribute a lot in the above area of research if I get the opportunity in your lab or institute based on my diversity of experience with field collections, use of molecular markers and statistical analyses.
