I am interested in the processes that affect the distribution and abundance of organisms in space and time. I study these interactions within insect communities that are important to forested areas and biological control systems. My research integrates field experimentation and population modeling to evaluate processes that influence geographically variable consumer-resource dynamics (e.g. climate and landscape variables).
My research goals are to improve our basic understanding of cross-scale drivers of herbivore impacts and use this information to enhance natural resource management.
