Dear HR,
My name is Runxin Cao. I am currently working in Dr. Nan-Yao Su’s lab as a graduate assistant and master student in University of Florida. My research focuses on the behavior, ecology and management of subterranean termites. I am expected to get my master degree in August, 2013. As a self-motivated and hard-working graduate student, I am seeking an entry-levelposition of termite control or urban pest management. I would appreciate your review of my attached resume.
I am interested in pest control technician or scientist positions, etc, and I believe my knowledge and skills on termite control and field work experience would quanlify me for the position. I took Dr.Philip Koehler's Urban Pest Management Class and Dr.Nan-Yao Su's Termite Control Class, from which I learnt a lot of practical knowledge about urban pest control. Also, as I did part of my master program in the field, I am familiar with the distribution of all subterranean termite species in south Florida as well as their biological characteristics and damage potentials. Related tools can be operated proficiently. Excellent communication and presentation skills would enable me to do a good job either independently or as a member in a team.
During my undergraduate period I did research on parasitoid wasps applied as biological control agents on agriculture pest such as mealybug. Positions of agricultural pest control or pesticide application can also be accepted.
Attached is my resume. Thank you for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Runxin Cao, M.Sc. student
