Greetings:
I am completing the PhD in quantitative biology at the University of Texas-Arlington with an emphasis in ecology. My research project on the spatial ecology of the Comanche harvester ant has been a field based project encompassing a variety of field methods and statistical analyses. I am concluding the final stages of data analyses and writing this summer.
I have extensive and varied course work in biology and extensive teaching experience which qualifies me well for teaching most lower level courses in biology and many upper level courses. I also have extensive training in teaching through formal course work and professional development activities. My effectiveness in teaching was validated at UTA when I received the Kalpana Chawla S.T.A.R. Award in 2007-2008.
My research interests are in the behavior and ecology of ants.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to the possibility of further conversation.
Sincerely,
Ann B. Mayo
