To whom it may concern,

I am submitting my resume in consideration for an entomological research assistant position, or for a position related to the field of entomology.

My experience and past accomplishments in integrated pest management research make me an excellent candidate for such positions. Previously, I worked as an intern for the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS) and for the Environmental Studies Dept at UCSC. In these positions, I had a chance to truly hone my skill-set and receive training in lygus bug dissections, as well as receive the opportunity to co-author a research paper regarding lygus control in managed trap crops.

I believe my experiences, work ethic, and enthusiasm make me an exceptional candidate if an opportunity were to arise. I have enclosed my resume for your consideration. Please feel free to contact me via phone or email at a time of your convenience to discuss my background further.

Sincerely,

 Caitlin Slay
