Benefits of Joining ESA!
The premiere event of ESA is the annual meeting.
Entomologists from all over the world, including almost one-third of the ESA
membership, gather annually to exchange scientific information, enhance
professional knowledge and skills, and conduct the society's business. ESA
members can hear and present research papers, meet in symposia and conferences,
and interact with peers and prospective employers. Many researchers use the
Annual Meeting as an opportunity to present their work and showcase their
talents. Over 1,700 important scientific presentations are made at the ESA
Annual Meeting every year. The discount you realize on your attendance fee by being a
member more than offsets your annual dues.
Each of the five geographic branches holds an annual meeting
for members to benefit from interacting with others within a specific region.
The branch meetings are usually held in the early part of the year. Many
find the Branch meetings to be an ideal forum to meet with colleagues and
exchange information on a less formalized setting than can be found at the ESA
Annual Meeting. Your ESA membership guarantees your membership in the Branch of
your choosing, ensuring you will receive discounted rates for attendance.
