Aquatic Entomology NetworkThe Aquatic Entomology Network provides an open forum for entomologists to discuss insects that inhabit aquatic habitats. The network will serve as a place for members to discuss their own research, exciting new trends in the field, and taxonomic resources for aquatic insects. Aquatic entomologists are a diverse group of students, professors, consultants, researchers, and government employees that work within numerous sub-disciplines of entomology. While the new structure of the Entomological Society of America does not include a section encompassing all aquatic entomologists, the Aquatic Entomology Network will allow the aquatic entomologists belonging to ESA to more easily find and communicate with each other. In addition, the Aquatic Entomology Network will encourage those outside of ESA, who are not traditional entomologists but study aquatic insects, to participate in the network (and promote the benefits of membership in ESA). The Aquatic Entomology Network is open to all who work with insects inhabiting any sized temporary or permanent aquatic habitat, whether for a career or just a pastime. Furthermore, the network will serve as a launching pad for symposia and poster sessions to allow research in aquatic entomology to be presented together in a way that fosters collaboration and cooperation. Contacts: Click here to add a Network or change your Networks settings. If you have not yet joined ESA or are not yet established in the ESA database, you'll first need to go to the Membership page and "join" as a Web-user (which is a free transaction). |
