Starting a New Network

Networks are independent self-forming groups of members and nonmembers. ESA supports Networks in a variety of ways, from providing space at the Annual Meeting for physical meetings, to web-based communication tools that make communication easier to manage. We ask new Networks to let us know that they exist so that we can support them, but this is not a requirement. If you would like to start a Network, please contact Andre Owens at networks@entsoc.org with

  • the name of your Network
  • any description you have of your Network (e.g., what unifies you as a group)
  • the "type" of Network (Types of Networks that you can start are Interest, Occupation, Demographic, Organization, and Old Section)
  • contact information for the person in charge (for now) of your group

A person does not need to join the Society prior to joining a Network (with the exception of Branch, Committee, and Section-based Networks). To register as a non-member, simply visit the Membership application and select the free "web user" option. This creates an account in the database which will then allow non-member use of the Networks pages. All users of the Networks agree to abide by the Rules of Use.
