In this "Articulated Segments" column from January 8, 2013, ESA President Rob Wiedenmann discusses upcoming Society events for 2013, as well as new ESA policy initiatives. He and Vice President Frank Zalom met with USDA-NIFA Director Sonny Ramaswamy, and they attended a meeting of the Council of Scientific Society Presidents. In addition, ESA has created a new Science Policy Committee chaired by Bob Peterson of Montana State University.
