Systematics, Evolution, and Biodiversity Section

This Section is for people who study insect anatomy, classification and history. As the name implies, it focuses on systematics, evolution and biodiversity, but it could also include morphology, ecology, population dynamics, genetics, phylogeny, nomenclature, biogeography, zoology, and other specialties.

Section News

  • On July 18-20, 2016, at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History, the SysEB Section of ESA co-sponsored and hosted a workshop designed to train museum curators and others on best practices in curating, collecting, and caring for entomological collections.
