The U.S. National Collection of Scarab Beetles from the Smithsonian (ca. a third of a million scarabs) also resides here as part of an off-site enhancement loan. These research collections are housed in Nebraska Hall at 16th and X Streets (west entrance and elevator on 16th St.). Dr. Brett Ratcliffe is the Curator (bratcliffe1@unl.edu) and Dr. Matt J. Paulsen is the Collections Manager (mpaulsen@unlserve.unl.edu). The Museum’s public display galleries, which includes the world’s largest fossil Mammoth and the Hall of Nebraska Wildlife, are housed in Morrill Hall which is located at 14th and Vine Streets. Look for the giant bronze mammoth out in front!
