Lanham, MD; January 10, 2008—The Entomological Society of America (ESA) is proud to announce the appointment of Robin Kriegel, CAE as its new Executive Director. She replaces Ann Kenworthy, CAE, who served as Interim Executive Director in 2007.
Kriegel is an experienced senior association executive with 20 years’ experience as a CEO at the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the American Association of Medical Society Executives. She began her association management career as a staff specialist at the National Student Nurses’ Association.
“Robin offers the ESA considerable leadership skills in all important aspects of our enterprise, such as membership, publications, annual meetings, and staff management,” said ESA President Mike Gray. “One of my first tasks in 2008 will be to work closely with her.”
In addition to her professional experience, Kriegel is a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives and has served on their board of directors.
“I look forward to the challenges and opportunites serving as Executive Director of ESA,” said Kriegel. “ESA is a dynamic organization poised for growth and renewal.”
