Student Activities at the Annual Meeting

This year's Annual Meeting will be held in November 16-19, 2008 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. For information on student debates, competitions, social functions and other activities, please explore the links below:

$30,000 in award funding is available for Students and Young Professionals who have participated in the affairs of their Society and will be coming to the ESA Annual Meeting in Reno. For more information, click here.

Annual Meeting Calendar
June 20 -- University entomology clubs interested in sales during the meeting should write to meet@entsoc.org.
November 16-19 -- ESA Annual Meeting and Exhibition.

Student Competitions
The Student Competition for the President’s Prize features a Poster Display Competition and a 10-Minute Oral Presentation Competition. Winners receive $70.00 and free ESA membership for a year.

The Career Center
The Student Affairs Committee will conduct a Career Center where job vacancies and resumes are posted. If you would like to volunteer, or for more information, contact the Committee.

Linnaean Games
The ESA Linnaean games are a lively question-and-answer, college bowl-style competition on entomological facts played between university-sponsored student teams.

Presenting Posters
A poster presentation at an Annual Meeting of ESA is a great way to get your research in front of the public. Click here for important links for poster presenters.
