The Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures (AWM) is seeking an exceptional candidate for Agricultural Scientist - Entomology Option. The Agricultural Scientist performs professional work involved in the detection, identification, exclusion, control, and eradication of insect/plant pests, plant diseases or vector-borne pathogens within the County. The incumbent will be assigned to the Detection, Diagnostics & Quarantine Division located at the AWM San Marcos Branch, 151 E. Carmel St., San Marcos, CA 92078.
A bachelor's of science degree from an accredited U. S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in zoology, entomology, biology, or a closely related field with emphasis on coursework in entomology; AND, four (4) years of professional experience in entomology.
