2004 Student Awards Session
The recipients of the 2004 ESA and Entomological Foundation student awards were presented with their prizes during the Student Awards Session which was held on Tuesday, November 16.
 

Deborah Finke (left) of the University of Maryland, pictured with ESA President Kevin Steffey, received the ESA John Henry Comstock Graduate Student Award for the Eastern Branch.

Dr. Michael E. Rogers (right) of the University of Kentucky received the Comstock award for the North Central Branch from ESA President Steffey.

Renee Priya Prasad (left) of Washington State University was presented with the Comstock award for the Pacific Branch from ESA President Steffey.

Andrew R. Cline (left) of Louisiana State University received the Comstock award for the Southeastern Branch from ESA President Steffey.

Douglas B. Jones (left) of Oklahoma State University was presented with the Comstock award for the Southwestern Branch from ESA President Steffey.

Emerson Lacey (left) of the University of Illinois was this year's recipient of the ESA Normand R. DuBois Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by Valent BioSciences Corporation. ESA President Steffey presented the award.

Patricia L. Anderson (left) of Iowa State University was presented with the ESA Student Activity Award, sponsored by Monsanto Company, from ESA President Steffey.

Seth Bybee (center) of Brigham Young University was this year's recipient of the BioQuip Undergraduate Scholarship, administered by the Entomological Foundation. Foundation President Paul Borth (left) and ESA President Steffey (right) presented the award.

Dr. Joao Pedra (center) of Yale University was presented with the International Congress on Insect Neurochemistry and Neurophysiology Student Recognition Award in Insect Physiology, Biochemistry, Toxicology, and Molecular Biology from Presidents Borth (left) and Steffey. The Entomological Foundation administers this award.

Marc Fisher (center) of Virginia Tech received the Entomological Foundation's Jeffery LaFage Graduate Student Research Award from Presidents Borth (left) and Steffey.

Timothy Waters (center right) of Washington State University was this year's recipient of the Entomological Foundation's Larry Larson Graduate Student Award for Leadership and Applied Entomology, sponsored by Dow AgroSciences. Those who presented the award to Waters include (left to right) Foundation President Borth, Dow representative Mike Culy, and ESA President Steffey.

Jinfang Li of Pennsylvania State University was presented with the Entomological Foundation's Lillian and Alex Feir Graduate Student Travel Award in Insect Physiology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology by Presidents Borth (left) and Steffey.
