Assistant Professor - Insect Vector Biologist

The Department of Entomology in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty at the level of Assistant Professor specializing in the physiological and molecular Interactions between insect vectors of human and animal diseases and their associated microbes. The individual will develop an extramurally funded research program and investigate the physiological and molecular interactions between insect vectors and their associated microbes, the physiological and biochemical processes that are unique to insects as vectors of human and animal pathogens, and their responses to the environment. This position will also work closely with the CDC-funded, Midwestern Center of Excellence in Vector-Borne Disease (MCE-VBD) located in the Department of Entomology.
