Entomologist/Biologist Interns at Ecolab RD&E work on developing product test methods, conducting laboratory evaluations, and consulting results with team members and key stakeholders. The individual will focus specifically on the development of standard operating procedures for product/equipment evaluations against common urban pests e.g. cockroaches, bed bugs, large flies, small flies, mosquitoes, birds or rodents. This project may lead to the development of new practices and protocols for the Ecolab Pest Elimination Division. The intern program is a 12 week position that starts in June and includes the development, execution, and completion of a final project and formal presentation.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States now, and anytime in the future
- Demonstrated project leadership skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Sound academic training
- Interest in working with insects and standard laboratory procedures
