Wednesday, October 10, 2018

2 - 3 PM EDT

Get excited for our Joint Annual Meeting, Entomology 2018.

Whether this is your first professional scientific meeting, or you have attended meetings in the past, students planning to attend Entomology 2018 should participate in ESA's hour-long Know Before You Go webinar hosted by ESA's Student Affairs Committee.

Our presenters will share tips and tricks to ensure you make the most of your time at the Annual Meeting, with topics such as what to do at the meeting, networking tips, what to wear, what to bring, and more! They will also discuss the student competition rubric and highlight changes from last year.

Tip: Did you know potential employers are watching and getting to know students during this meeting – building early relationships that are so important down the road. The Annual Meeting is such an important meeting for networking and putting your “best face forward”.  We hear all the time that members have been hired based on connections made at the meetings – and from employers how they first saw someone speak and loved their presentations and work – and eventually hired them.
