Graduate Research Assistantship
A graduate research assistantship is available for a MS student in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences of Clemson University. The student will be co-advised by Dr. Hehe Wang and Dr. Jeremy Greene to develop molecular detection assays for invasive insect species and conduct field work for insect surveillance. The research lab is located at the Edisto Research and Education Center (REC) in Blackville, SC, located about 3 hours from the main campus in Clemson, SC. The Edisto REC has free parking and free housing for graduate students while located at the REC. Housing and parking will be the student's responsibilities while taking coursework on the main campus during the fall and spring semesters.
A bachelor’s degree in (molecular) biology, entomology, or a related field is required. Experience in molecular techniques is required.
