Postdoctoral Research Associate Opportunities
Two postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Jawwad Qureshi’s entomology program at the University of Florida Southwest Florida Research and Education Center, Immokalee, FL. Research will focus on developing integrated and sustainable management programs for Asian citrus psyllid in young and mature citrus. Work involves travelling to multiple locations (2-3 hours drive one side) on regular basis for project related activities including maintenance of the experimental plots, working with staff and collection of data. Experience in insect behavior, ecology, IPM and statistics is required. The successful applicant must be self-motivated, be able to work independently as well as part of a team; and has a proven record of publishing refereed manuscripts. Candidates are expected to publish peer reviewed research and extension articles and prepare reports and presentation to deliver to clientele. Positions are available as soon as a candidate can be identified.
