The postdoctoral associate will contribute to a large project exploring the impacts of potato pests to potato. Pests such as potato psyllids, Lygus, thrips, and mites will be targeted. The postdoctoral scholar will have significant freedom to develop an independent research program in this system focusing on insect movement, effect of landscape on insect distribution, and control. Required qualifications: PhD in entomology or related field. The ideal candidate will have experience with GIS, insect ecology, and conducting large-scale field experiments. A demonstrated record of research productivity (publications, presentations, grant writing, etc) is expected. Desired qualifications: Experience working in agricultural ecosystems, and interest in extension/outreach, is preferred but not required. Interested candidates should send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org containing a cover letter describing their experiences and potential research interests/career goals, a current CV, reprints (pdf) of any relevant research publications, and names/contact information of three references.
