Reports of Section B Representatives:

Governing Board Representative(Coby Schal)

Coby reported that the Entomology Foundation will help offset the cost of parents’ co-pay for the child care program reported in the Preliminary Business Meeting. This support from the Foundation will make the program free for the membership.

Coby reported that some other sections were also not happy with the restructuring section names.  The other sections are putting forward a motion to change the names.  A member proposed a resolution in support of the proposal to restructure ESA provided that Section B name will be revisited. Initially, Melody entertained naming suggestions and then asked for a vote on the proposed names.  After an in-depth discussion the following resolution was moved, seconded and voted unanimously passed. “Section B endorses the proposal for ESA organizational renewal if the name proposed as Suborganismal Systems is changed to INTEGRATIVE PHYSIOLOGY & MOLECULAR SYSTEMS.”
