John Henry Comstock Graduate Student Awards
These six awards are given to one graduate student from each ESA Branch to promote interest in entomology at the graduate level and to stimulate interest in attending the ESA Annual Meeting. Students members are eligible to compete for this award in one Branch only. Each award consists of an all-expenses-paid trip to the meeting, a $100 cash prize, and a certificate. Expenses paid include reimbursed airfare, free hotel arrangements, free meeting registration, and a per diem allowance. These annual awards are presented during the ESA Annual Meeting.
NOTE: Members can only submit in one Branch each year.

Each ESA Branch has its own selection criteria for these awards. Please inquire directly with the respective Branch Secretary-Treasurer; contact information is available via the main page about ESA's Branches located here.
ESA Branches are only allowed to nominate at the ESA level. The branch representative should submit the notification via ESA's John Henry Comstock Nomination Site.
Each Branch must notify ESA headquarters of its Comstock winner by June 15. Notification must consist of the following: (1) the name of each branch award recipient, (2) a biography of no more than 130 words, and (3) a digital photo of the recipient that is at least 1" wide x 1-1/2" tall, black and white or color, with a minimum of 300 pixels per inch.
