Designed for graduate students and postdocs in entomology, the PACT program helps individuals develop the leadership capacity and “soft skills” sought after in today’s highly collaborative work environments—both within and beyond academia.
Applications Open: Science Policy Fellows (SPF)
The SPF Program is a two-year training program that prepares entomologists to advocate for the discipline at the federal level. Five fellows are selected annually through a competitive process and receive policy training at the annual meeting, followed by twice-yearly visits to Washington, D.C. to meet with Congressional offices, federal agencies, and partner organizations.

About: This webinar is hosted by the Early Career Professionals Committee to provide an opportunity for students and ECPs to hear more about navigating career transitions. This webinar will provide attendees with an opportunity to hear the experiences from ECPs who are working, or have worked for startups after graduating. The program features excellent panelists who will present their experiences, share professional advice, and provide personal and professional testimonies of how they made the decision and shifted to a less prevalent career path. This interactive webinar will be formatted as a panel discussion and will allow attendees to ask questions about navigating this less common career path.
