The SPF Program is a two-year training program that prepares entomologists to advocate for the discipline at the federal level. Five fellows are selected annually through a competitive process and receive policy training at the annual meeting, followed by twice-yearly visits to Washington, D.C. to meet with Congressional offices, federal agencies, and partner organizations.

EntoMentos is a flexible, informal mentorship program designed to foster lasting connections in the entomology community. Mentors and mentees meet weekly over the summer to explore career paths, graduate school, and the intersection of personal and professional growth.

Designed for graduate students and postdocs in entomology, the PACT program helps individuals develop the leadership capacity and “soft skills” sought after in today’s highly collaborative work environments—both within and beyond academia.

A topical program, led by global experts in the field, will showcase groundbreaking research in insect molecular sciences and highlight innovative molecular and biotechnological approaches for controlling insect pests and disease vectors.

About: An online event that brings together entomologists from around the world to share and explore the latest research in the field. This virtual platform allows participants to present findings, exchange ideas, and connect with a global network of insect science professionals. By removing geographic barriers, the symposium fosters international collaboration and broadens access to cutting-edge entomological knowledge.

The 2025 Invasive Ant Boot Camp will be held from May 6-8, 2026, at the University of Florida in Gainesville. This intensive three-day workshop, led by Dr. Andrea Lucky and a team of specialists in pest control, policy, and ant ecology, focuses on the identification and management of invasive ant species. Gain hands-on experience with some of the world's most problematic invasive and tramp ants through a combination of expert-led lectures, field trips, and lab sessions.
