Entomology 2023 will take place November 5-8, 2023 in National Harbor, MD. The theme for Entomology 2023 is Insects and Influence: Advancing Entomology's Impact on People and Policy.
Program symposia submissions should reflect the meeting theme, Insects and Influence: Advancing Entomology's Impact on People and Policy. Organizers should propose timely, thought-provoking, and appealing sessions that incorporate the meeting theme. We encourage innovative formats that feature policy-related dialogue. Sessions may include, but are not limited to, scientific talks, fireside chats with policy makers, meet and greet with federal agency personnel, insect-related visual and performing arts.
The Program Committee is seeking proposals for sessions which are inclusive and diverse, including diversity of entomological science, speaker locality, career path (research, education, industry, extension, government, etc.) and background (gender, ethnicity, career stage, etc.). Submissions that include speakers from diverse backgrounds (e.g. policy makers, NGOs, science communicators, artists, musicians) are encouraged.
All symposia and workshop submissions are due Wednesday March 1, 2023.
10-minute presentations, posters, student competition, and functions will open March 15, 2023.
