2019 Livestock Insect Workers Conference Lifetime Achievement Award

Gary R. Mullen, Ph.D., professor emeritus in Auburn University’s Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, was the 2019 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the joint meeting of the Livestock Insect Workers Conference, the American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists, and the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology in Madison, Wisconsin, July 9, 2019.  The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes career accomplishments that contribute to animal wellbeing and health, food safety, and agricultural productivity. Mullen’s service to the Entomological Society of America includes chairing the Medical-Veterinary Entomology Section in 1992 and as president of the Southeastern Branch in 2005.
