Location: University of Maryland, Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology, Rockville, Maryland

About: Attendees will attend 2 lectures per day on important topics related to insect genetic technologies and will spend each day in the laboratory learning how to deliver insect genetic technologies to insect germlines using microinjection technologies. Attendees will work with a variety of insects and a variety of equipment, providing them with a solid foundation for addressing their specific needs. Attendees are encouraged to bring ‘their’ insects to make the experience directly relevant to their interests.
