ESA is happy to provide braille, large print and/or audio program books by request. Please respond by November 1 if you need an alternative program book for the meeting. This will allow us enough time to have one prepared for you.
Assistive Listening Devices:
Assistive Listening Devices to enhance audio speech are available for all plenary and scientific sessions. To request a hearing device to amplify sound, please let me know by October 20. You will need to provide your onsite schedule so that devices can be set up in advance in each of the meeting rooms.
Each of the hotels within the ESA hotel block offer a variety of accessible hotel room options to fit your needs. If you need help in securing an accessible room, please contact Rosina Romano (firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-731-4535 x3010).
ESA is happy to provide a private and secure space for all nursing parents. ESA supports all nursing parents to nurse as needed in all general meeting spaces and nursing in public is protected by Maryland law. The ESA dedicated Lactation Room is in Potomac Registration A Office. There is a second Lactation Room located off the main lobby near guest registration. Both have mini fridges for storage.
This room, located in the Green Room before the Potomac Ballroom AB, is a designated space designed to provide a calming and soothing environment for attendees. Take a break from the conference environment, improve your focus, reduce stress and anxiety, and relax. For details on a second more private location visit the Registration & Information Desk.
Service animals are welcome in all facilities for the ESA meeting. Pet-relief areas are immediately outside of all conference facilities on the first floor. Please see onsite staff or volunteers for the nearest usable exit.
Sign Language Interpreters:
Sign Language interpreters are available by advance request. Please tell us by October 20 if you want a team of sign-language interpreters to accompany you during the meeting. I am happy to work with you on a schedule to provide you with interpreters based on your scientific and social schedule over the course of the meeting. Early notification allows us the ability to find coverage for all the events you wish to attend throughout the meeting. After November 1, ESA cannot guarantee requests for interpreters; however, we will make every effort to accommodate requests. ESA cannot guarantee on-site requests for interpreters without notice. If you would like to bring your own interpreter, contact Rosina Romano and she will assist in setting up access to the program.
Scooter & Wheelchair Rentals:
Complimentary wheelchairs are available in the building, just stop by the bell desk near the front desk to request one. If you prefer to rent a mobility scooter or wheelchair, you can set up a rental and delivery with Scootaround.
