By volunteering their time and energy, ESA members fulfill vital leadership roles within the Society, making important decisions and carrying out essential functions as stated in the ESA Bylaws and Policy Manual.
All Society officers are elected by the membership through annual elections. All Branch officers are elected by the relevant Branch membership during the annual elections for the specific Branch.
ESA has announced the results of its 2023-2024 elections. Melissa Willrich Siebert has been elected as the next Vice President-Elect of the Society. Three other members have also been elected to the ESA Governing Board: Mary Gardiner, Richard Mankin, and Andrew Short. 2024 Branch Officer Elections:
ESA has announced the results of the 2024 Branch officer elections for the following Branches: Eastern Branch, North Central Branch, Pacific Branch, Southeastern Branch, and Southwestern Branch. Four members have been elected as the next President-Elect of their branches: Rayda Krell (Eastern), Kirk Larsen (North Central), Laura Lavine (Pacific), and Ash Sial (Southeastern). Nine other members have also been elected to various other Branch offices. The Southeastern branch members have also voted to approve the proposed changes to their branch constitution and bylaws.
