Finance Committee, ESA Eastern Branch

 

1. This Committee shall consist of three members experienced in Branch activities and knowledgeable in Branch financial matters. Each member serves a three-year term. One new member is appointed annually by the Branch President, who also names the Committee Chair.

Constitution and Bylaws Committee, ESA Eastern Branch

1. The Constitution and Bylaws Committee consists of three members each serving for three years in staggered terms. The Committee shall be chaired by the person entering his/her third year of membership on the Committee. The Eastern Branch Parliamentarian shall be an ex officio member.

Auditing Committee, ESA Eastern Branch

The sole and only purpose of the Auditing Committee is to check the financial records of the Society and to determine whether they are in order. The results of the audit are reported to the membership at the Annual Meeting.

Medical, Urban, and Veterinary Entomology

The MUVE Section is for people with an interest in how insects affect humans, domestic and wild animals, and our urban environment. Topics include medical entomology, urban entomology, veterinary entomology, forensic entomology, epidemiology, integrated disease management, human and veterinary parasitology, public health pest management, mosquito control, management of structural pests (e.g., termites, ants), and others.

Governing Board Minutes

The Board meets at least twice each year. If there are issues requiring full Board discussion and decision in between meetings, there are defined procedures which allow for motions and votes via electronic means.The discussions and decisions of the Board are documented in minutes that are made available to the membership. Previous years are maintained internally with ESA Headquarters.

ESA Governing Board

The Governing Board of ESA oversees the business affairs of the Society, subject to decisions on policy and actions by the membership during business meetings or by ballot. The Governing Board consists of the elected officers, representatives elected from each Branch and Section, and the Executive Director as a non-voting, ex officio member. Unless otherwise specified in the Bylaws, the Governing Board has authority to act on behalf of the Society.
