Entomological Collections Management Workshop

ESA's SysEB Section and the Entomological Collections Network (ECN) are pleased to announce details on the 4th offering of the Entomological Collections Management Workshop. This “hybrid” model will be held both in-person at Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, Arizona and virtually from June 20-24, 2022. The workshop will be led by co-instructors Dr. David G.

The J.E. and Jean M. McPherson Entomology Undergraduate and Graduate Student Biodiversity Awards

The Systematics, Evolution, and Biodiversity (SysEB) Section leadership invites SysEB undergraduate and graduate students to submit applications for the J. E. and Jean M. McPherson Entomology Undergraduate and Graduate Student Biodiversity Awards.  Biodiversity, in the broad sense, covers a multitude of areas at both the molecular and organismic levels. These awards support research in these areas with emphasis on non-taxonomic studies.  Such studies could include natural history, morphology, behavior, conservation, paleobiology, biochemistry, physiology, and related areas.

SysEB Section Initiatives

According to the ESA Bylaws, the ESA Sections are empowered and charged with developing and implementing the "key capabilities for their membership that result in: outreach related to science and public policy, program development, continuing education, and fostering interest in entomology."

SysEB Student Research Endowment Donors

The Systematics, Evolution, and Biodiveristy (SysEB) Section leaders would like to thank the following donors for their generous contributions to the SysEB Student Research Endowment. This permanent endowment helps provide research enhancement awards for graduate and undergraduate students who are active members of ESA and SysEB Section.
