Compete in this year’s Entomology Games!

The Entomology Games have been a tradition since 1982. Be part of the tradition by joining us in this fun-filled, competitive entomological trivia game. Each ESA branch hosts a student competition with the top two teams from each branch receiving travel awards towards attending the annual national meeting for a final competition.

At the Pacific Branch, we do our preliminary rounds differently to encourage more students to participate. We will have a pub trivia style preliminary round. Teams do not need to be organized or registered before this event, but we highly encourage getting a team together before the meeting so you can study together! Teams can be generated spontaneously by any combination of up to four student conference-goers even from different schools. Everyone can participate in the preliminary round, but only student teams are competing to be eligible or advance to the final round. The final round follows the rules and style of the annual meeting Entomology Games (rules will be explained before the games). This year, we are holding the preliminary round and the final round the same night on Monday, April 13, 2026. Come have fun and test your entomology knowledge.

Contribute trivia questions

Anyone can help by contributing your favorite entomology questions. We need a range of difficulties. Good question submissions are simple, close-ended questions, and include a citation to help our fact-checkers.
