Incoming MUVE Representative to the Journal of Medical Entomology Editorial Board

Dr. Lee Cohnstaedt is a Research Entomologist for the Arthropod-Borne Animal Diseases Research Unit in Manhattan, Kansas, which is a part of the United States Department of Agriculture – The Agricultural Research Service.  He studies population control methods based on the intrinsic behaviors of disease vector biting midges and mosquitoes of medical and veterinary importance. Dr. Cohnstaedt has been a member of the Entomological Society of America since 2003. During this time, he has presented 14 talks and organized four symposia at annual Entomological Society and International Congress of Entomology meetings. His service to the society includes serving on the Annals of Entomological Society of America Editorial Board (2013-2017) as the Medical, Urban and Veterinary Entomology Representative.  He also serves on the Entomological Foundation board of Counsellors Committee (2016-present) and Entomological Foundation Awards committee (2015-present).
